Volvo buses that were discontinued before the lockdown will be re-inducted into the fleet of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. This process is going on from the headquarters level. Volvo buses will be operated from Varanasi region on Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra routes. Roadways officials said that two Volvo buses are to be delivered to Varanasi region.

Since the contract of Volvo buses with the roadways ended in 2019 itself, the buses could not be included in the fleet again. Earlier, Volvo buses operated from Varanasi Cantt Bus Station to Lucknow and Kathmandu. These buses could not be added again after the agreement ended. Now once again the headquarters has purchased 10 Volvo buses.
